A tasty selection of mobile app updates

We’re celebrating the summer with a number of time-saving updates for your clients who use the FreeAgent mobile app

We’ve introduced updates to both the iOS and Android versions of the app that make it easier to navigate, simpler to switch between multiple FreeAgent accounts, quicker to enable re-consent for a bank feed and more efficient to work with bank transactions in bulk. Here are the details.

1. New and improved menu

It’s now easier for your clients to navigate the FreeAgent mobile app via our three-line ‘hamburger’ menu. Your clients will be able to access key product features and account settings faster using this menu, saving them valuable time.

2. Switching between FreeAgent accounts

Your clients can now switch between multiple FreeAgent accounts without logging out of the mobile app. Once they’ve logged in and added additional accounts, they can easily switch between them by selecting the relevant account from a list.

We’ve released an update to make it quicker for your clients to re-consent their bank feeds within the FreeAgent mobile app. If a client banks with a supported bank, then from November 2022, the next time they need to reconnect to keep their Open Banking feed active, they’ll be able to provide fresh consent without being redirected to their bank’s mobile app or online banking portal.

4. Bulk banking actions

Your clients can now explain, approve, remove and delete bank transactions in bulk using the FreeAgent mobile app. Now that clients can perform these common banking actions more efficiently, you’re likely to receive fewer questions around bank reconciliation, which should save you time at year end.
