How Caax works with FreeAgent

Once you’ve connected FreeAgent to Caax, business information, supplier contacts, charts of accounts, products, projects, currency and tax rates will flow between FreeAgent and Caax.

This data is utilised to automate the process of data capture of supplier information, bills and receipts as follows:

1. The supplier is given a dedicated email address for the business to send bills to.
2. Team members and suppliers can then send bills or receipts via the mobile scanner, Caax portal via drag and drop, or Dropbox.
3. After receiving the bill or receipt, supplier information and bill/receipt data is captured and processed per accounting rules and is sent to FreeAgent.

Caax removes all the barriers and hurdles that accountants, bookkeepers and business owners face in this process.

Caax records every step of the journey of the bill/receipt from arrival into Caax, to being sent to FreeAgent, in an audit trail. This is very powerful for supplier disputes, team member training and many other benefits.

How do I get started with Caax?

You can connect FreeAgent to Caax by following these steps:

1. Sign up or start a free trial at www.caax.co.uk. Alternatively, sign in to Caax if you already have a Caax account. 
2. Click add a new business and select FreeAgent.
3. Select accountancy practice if you are an accountant or bookkeeper who has a FreeAgent Practice Dashboard, otherwise select the business option then click connect.
4. Sign into FreeAgent and click ‘Approve app Caax’ to authorise and accept the connection.
5. Select the business you want to connect and Caax will review and approve the business connection within one business day. When approved, you’ll receive a notification via email. 
6. Caax is integrated and ready to use with FreeAgent!
