‘Spreadsheet Phil’ is the nickname sometimes attributed to the former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond.

As Chancellor, Philip Hammond was responsible for delivering the Autumn Budget and Spring Statement each year.

Hammond resigned as Chancellor on 24th July 2019 and was replaced by Sajid Javid, the MP for Bromsgrove.
