More flexible ownership splits for landlords

We’ve just made it easier than ever to manage your clients' property ownership details. Until now, FreeAgent for Landlords only allowed you to split ownership of all properties using the same proportion - nice and simple, but not always reflective of the real world.

Now, with our latest update, you can set different ownership splits for each property. This means landlords who own multiple properties with different proportions of ownership can now use FreeAgent to track their income and expenditure and get an accurate view of their tax liability.  

This latest update will be welcome news to accountants and bookkeepers looking to onboard landlord clients ahead of the MTD for Income Tax thresholds coming into effect in April 2026. This added flexibility means your landlord clients can stay on top of their finances with an easy-to-use, compliance-led accounting solution, no matter how their ownership arrangements evolve.
