Setting up the FreeAgent page on your website

Here are a few suggestions to help you make the most of the website copy we've suggested for you.

Headings

We suggest that you use the headers below as your H1 and H2 headers. These help Google (and other search engines) know what your page is about so it will help Google to rank it appropriately.

Links

In the first paragraph, we've highlighted the words "Accounting Software" it would be great if you could hyperlink these words back to http://www.freeagent.com (Google likes it when we share links between each other). We'll also link back to you from our ‘Find an accountant' page on the FreeAgent website.

At [practice name] we’ve chosen FreeAgent as our preferred accounting software for our small business, freelance and contractor clients.

Images

We’ve suggested an image to include in the copy, but there are also other images we’ve supplied that you can choose. We’d suggest you don’t change file names that we’ve given the images as they are optimised to be good for search engines. We’d also recommend that you use the file name text as your Alt text for each image (again it’s important to get this right to help for search engine optimisation). We’ve optimised the file sizes so that they are search engine friendly too!

Logos

We've included the FreeAgent logo as an image if you'd like to use that - if you could hyperlink the logo back to http://www.freeagent.com that would be great! The alt text should be "FreeAgent - Online accounting software."

Forms

We've suggested that you include a short form at the bottom of the page to capture any enquiries. If that's not possible, make sure you include contact details as you want to make sure you make it easy for prospective customers to get in touch.

If you are going to add a form remember to keep it short as people are less likely to fill out longer forms, and you don't want to miss a potential customer contacting you! Just add the fields that you need. You can find out more about the person once you get into a conversation. We'd suggest the following fields:

First Name
Surname
Email address
Telephone number

Videos

We've also provided a few videos for your clients. The videos are grouped into either introduction videos which provide an overview of FreeAgents functionality or how to videos which provide step-by-step guidance for common tasks in FreeAgent.
