Introducing the Opening Balances importer

You might have noticed we’ve released a host of new updates for your clients recently - but we haven’t forgotten about you! We’re delighted to announce that we’ve just released a new Opening Balances importer in FreeAgent.

You - and your clients, if they choose to - can now import their opening balances into FreeAgent from a CSV file.

You can find the importer in your client’s FreeAgent account, in Accounting > Journal Entries > Opening Balances. Check out our Knowledge Base article for details of the full process and download our CSV template to get started.

We hope this will be another ‘win’ in our journey to making client onboarding even easier for you, especially as you might be adding bigger batches of new clients to FreeAgent when the scope of MTD for VAT expands in the new tax year.
