Small but mighty updates to the Banking area
We’ve recently deployed three small but powerful updates within FreeAgent’s Banking area. After taking on board feedback from users, we’ve made changes that make approving transactions easier, offer greater flexibility when viewing transactions and give a clearer view of a user’s bank feed status. Here are the details.
1. Top 3 categories within the ‘For Approval’ side panel
In order to make approving transaction explanations easier, users can now review and approve transactions by category more easily. The ‘For Approval’ side panel now displays the three categories with the largest number of outstanding transactions to approve, allowing users to work through these in a more manageable way.
All transactions within a particular category can be reviewed and approved with a single click, making it easier for users to stay on top of their transaction approval admin.
Before and after:
2. View bank transactions in descending order
Users viewing their bank transactions in descending order (with the latest at the top) will now also be able to see a running balance alongside - a feature that was previously only available when viewing bank transactions in ascending order. We’ve introduced this in response to a number of requests from users who wanted to be able to match their online banking view.
3. Improvements to the banking sidebar
We’ve made it easier for users to see the status of their bank feed by improving the design of the banking sidebar. Users will now be shown a single block that uses a ‘traffic light’ colour system that highlights when they need to take action to update their connection and confirms when everything is active and working. It also displays the date and time of the last import along with the number of transactions imported.
